Planting trees alone won’t get us to the 40% tree canopy goal. Trees need to be protected and cared for. A number of our partners are doing this important work.

Register for a monthly orientation session to learn about LEAF’s mission, programs and volunteer opportunities.

Become a Park Person

Visit Park People to join an existing park group or to start your own. There are close to 100 Park Friends groups in Toronto. Park Friends groups organize volunteers to green and care for their local parks, advocate for park improvements, and host tree plantings and nature walks.

If you are a student or an educator, find out how you can get involved in the TreesCO2 Student Ambassador Program.

City of Toronto

Join the Green Toronto mailing list to receive updates on tree-related volunteer programs and to learn when opportunities will resume. The City of Toronto relies on volunteers for a number of tree-related programs, but many programs are currently on hold due to the pandemic.
